SHELTER
- Tent with poles and pegs
- Footprint or ground sheet
- Mallet or a stone for pegs
- Spare guy lines
- Tarp for shelter or shade

SLEEPING
- Sleeping bag rated for the lowest expected temperature
- Sleeping mat or air mattress
- Pump if you have an air mattress
- Pillow or a stuff sack for clothes
- Extra blanket

COOKING AND EATING
- Stove and fuel
- Lighter and matches in a waterproof bag
- Pot and pan
- Plates, bowls, cups and cutlery
- Knife, chopping board and can opener
- Cooler with ice packs
- Food and snacks for each meal plus extra
- Water containers
- Washing-up bowl, soap and sponge
- Rubbish bags

CLOTHING
- Warm layers for the evening

- Head torch and spare batteries
- Lantern for the tent or table
- Map or offline maps on your phone
- Power bank

SAFETY AND HYGIENE
- First aid kit
- Insect repellent and sunscreen
- Toilet paper and a trowel if there are no facilities
- Hand sanitiser
- Towel and toiletries
- Emergency contact and location details left with someone

- Folding chairs and a table
